And the shows just keep coming. Red Rocks, which is on pace for a record season this year, added a pair of dates from My Morning Jacket, while tickets for the Beach Boys show are finally going on sale. The biggest concert news this week is Nicki Minaj, who is bringing her Pink Friday Tour to the Mile High City this August. Tickets for that one go on sale next Saturday. Michael Kiwanuka, meanwhile, has finally announced a Denver date at the Bluebird, which will also host Built to Spill. This Just In: New Concerts and On-Sale Dates


Nicki Minaj is bringing her Pink Friday Tour to the Mile High City this summer. The wildly creative, prolific and flamboyant femme fatale will be at the Wells Fargo Theatre on Thursday, August 2. Tickets for the show go on sale next Saturday, May 12 at TicketMaster.com and LiveNation.com.

My Morning Jacket returns to Red Rocks for a two-night stint on Friday, August 3 and Saturday, August 4 with Band of Horses and Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue opening both nights. The band will be recording both shows and ticketholders will get free downloads of the shows. Tickets ($42.50-$49.50) go on sale on Saturday, May 5 at 10 a.m.

While the Beach Boys announced their 50th anniversary tour a few months ago, tickets for the band’s Monday, July 9 show at Red Rocks ($39.50-$79.50) finally go on sale on Friday, May 4 at 10 a.m. Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston, and David Marks are touring together for the first time in two decades.

U.K.-based soulman Michael Kiwanuka is finally making his way to Denver for a show at the Bluebird Theater on Tuesday, August 7, with Millow. Tickets ($13.75-$15) go on sale this Saturday, May 5, at 10 a.m. Built to Spill, who headlined the 2009 Westword Music Showcase, will be at the Bluebird on Friday, September 21 with Helvetia and Sister Crayon opening. Tickets ($22.50/$25) go on sale on Saturday, May 5 at 10 a.m.
