It's been an insanely busy week of concert announcements that run the gamut from King Kahn & BBQ Show and Melt-Banana, Wolfmother and Ghostland Observatory to Stone Temple Pilots, Insane Clown Posse and Kevin Smith (yep, Silent Bob himself will speak). Steely Dan fans might get a bit giddy to hear that Donald Fagan, Walter Becker and company will play the landmark album Aja in its entirety when they visit the Wells Fargo Theatre Thursday, October 29 as part of their Rent Party '09 Tour. Reserved tickets run $39.50 to $124.50 and go on sale Saturday, September 19 at 10 a.m. While it's still a ways off (like eight months), tickets ($50.50-$90.50) for Mark Knopler's Tuesday, April 20 show at the Temple Buell Theatre go on sale Friday, September 18 at 10 a.m. The former Dire Straits frontman will be touring in support of his sixth solo album, Get Lucky, which hits the streets today.
On to the heavier side of things. Rob Zombie brings his Hellbilly Deluxe 2 Tour to the Fillmore Friday, November 6 with the Nekroromantix and Captain Clegg. Advance general admission tickets, which are $36 and $38 day of show, go on sale Friday, September 18 at 10 a.m. Finally, Tool singer Maynard James Keenan brings his Puscifer project, which will most like include some mind fuckery, to the Paramount for a two-night stand at the Paramount on Friday and Saturday, November 20 and 21. And hey, if you've ever wanted to meet Keenan or try wine from his winery, Caduceus Cellars, now's your chance as there are meet and greet tickets and wine tasting packages available in addition to reserved seating. Tickets run from $49.50 to $65 (two-day tickets are $90) and go on sale Saturday, September, 18 at 10 a.m. For a complete list of the most recent shows that have been announced, the ones that are about to go on sale or are already on sale, follow the jump.
