A Henderson, Colorado, man is facing a cruel summer of his own making. Brian Jason Wagner was hit with a temporary restraining order from Taylor Swift after deranged behavior that included multiple instances of trespassing and claiming the superstar was the mother of his child.

Swift, who recently celebrated owning her entire catalogue of music, filed the protective request on June 6, stating that the 45-year-old ex-convict has repeatedly trespassed on her Los Angeles properties since July 2024, and has caused her to feel unsafe. In that initial month alone, Wagner came to her home at least three times and was confronted by security. During the first visit, on July 9, security reported to Swift that Wagner was carrying a glass bottle "that could have been used as a weapon," the filing states.

Because Swift's address is not public information, she said that Wagner's persistent visits and refusals to leave make "me fear for my safety and the safety of my family," the singer wrote in the filing.

An Instagram account that appears to belong to Wagner, with the handle @jasonwagnerswift13 (thirteen is Swift's favorite number), also shows his obsession, with one photo captioned, "Taylor Swift my beautiful wife I love you with all my heart and I trust you. You are the only one in my life forever I swear."

Wagner continued to trespass at Swift's L.A. home, most recently on May 21 and 22, requesting to see the singer. “During each of these visits, I am informed that Mr. Wagner made various statements about living at my property (not true), being in a relationship with me (not true), believing I am the mother of his son (not true), and needing to see me in person, all of which are untrue and disconnected from reality,” Swift wrote in the filing.

“My security team ran a criminal history report on Mr. Wagner which resulted in me learning that he was previously incarcerated," she told the court. "My security team and others on my staff alerted me that Mr. Wagner has a history of sending lengthy communications to me while he was incarcerated."

Wagner also sent her staff "hundreds of emails with similarly concerning and threatening language, tried to divert mail from my residence to his attention, and even lied to the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to somehow change the address on his driver’s license to my Los Angeles home," according to Swift. Her security team alerted Swift about Wagner trying to steal mail and use her address as his own at a California DMV when Wagner's ID was shipped to the home.

A member of Swift's security team for the past fourteen years also addressed the issue, affirming to the court the DMV incident and that Wagner had tried to contact the superstar in 2023 while he was incarcerated; the security guard also said Wagner had sent more than 25 emails to her staff in May. Wagner had pleaded guilty to one count of theft and one count of forgery in Clear Creek County and received a two-year deferred sentence in August 2023, as well as 129 days in jail, which he had already served leading up to the sentencing, according to KDVR.

Swift emphasized in the filing that she does not know Wagner, nor has she spoken with him, met him or shared her home with him. "Therefore, the fact that Mr. Wagner has determined where I reside and visited the property several times, refusing to leave and claiming to need access, makes me fear for my safety and the safety of my family," Swift said. "The fact that both of these recent visits and Mr. Wagner’s inappropriate and threatening communications to my staff about me have escalated in recent weeks creates a fear of imminent harm."

A hearing will be held on June 30 to establish whether the restraining order will become permanent.

This isn't the first Colorado man who has disrespected Swift: She notably sued a Denver DJ for $1 in 2015 after he grabbed her butt. (He also sued her, alleging she caused him to lose his job. Maybe just don't grope people, bro.)
