Tedeschi Trucks Band kicked off Colorado Day, Jerry Garcia's birthday and the first show of its two-night run at Red Rocks by bringing out the late Grateful Dead guitar player's old axe. The "Travis Bean" guitar, emblazoned with a sticker that read "Ass, Grass or Gas. Nobody Rides Free," was played by Derek Trucks for covers of the Dead's "Franklins Tower" and Derek and the Dominos' "Any Day" to open the show.

The husband and wife-led twelve-piece soul/jam band treated fans to a set full of original favorites and more covers of Derek and the Dominos, Prince and Leon Russell, with an opening set by Grace Bowers.
