Support the independent voice of Denver and help keep the future of Westword free.

Our thirtieth Best of Denver issue will bring a new cow to your newsstand in a little under two weeks. In the issue, you'll find several hundred of the best ways to spend time in our city, whether you're looking for fine art or cheap booze, whether you've got three days to kill or twenty minutes.

In addition to our suggestions, you'll also find in the Best of Denver the opinions of you, our readers, on several topics. There's a poll where you can participate in that part of the issue, and we're down to five semi-finalists, which, and we cannot stress this enough, were also selected via completely open public vote. Today is the last day to cast your vote.

Don't let those jokers who read Cafe Society have all the fun. We've listed the music-related categories below for your perusal, but you can also go straight to the poll to vote.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
