Our Westword member concerts celebrate some of the best bands in the local scene, in any genre.

After hosting rock band Ipecac, queer funk group May Be Fern and collaboratory indie hip-hop project ego n friends, we brought High Lonesome to the office on October 3 for a concert in our parking lot with a big turnout from our members, who enjoyed free booze and, of course, excellent bluegrass.
High Lonesome, which we consider one of the best bluegrass bands in the state, performed original tunes that showcased its modern take on the traditional genre. Every song performed was from High Lonesome's self-titled debut album that comes out on November 1, after a single release of "Old Familiar Song" on October 18. Pre-save the single and join High Lonesome's newsletter to keep up on new releases and show announcements, and head to its album-release show at Chautauqua Community House in Boulder on November 15. Tickets are $29.50.

Our next concert will showcase indie-pop singer Sunstoney on November 13. In the meantime, sign up to become a Westword member...and you can join the party next time!
