X Games Aspen is returning for its 25th year in the Rocky Mountains with a bang.
The action-sports event is one of the favorites of the winter season in the mountains, and another major draw is its music lineup. X Games will be at Buttermilk Mountain from January 23 to 24, and this year’s lineup is another slate of bass-dropping EDM heavyweights.
Daytime shows will be free to attend, while ticketed shows will happen in the evening. You can find tickets and the full schedule at xgames.com. See the lineup below.

Will you step up to support Westword this year?
At Westword, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $23,000 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $50,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of Westword, now’s the time to give back.
On Friday, January 23, TESSLA will take the stage during the day for a free show after a successful performance at last year’s X Games in Aspen. The women DJ duo splits time between Los Angeles and Aspen and makes a delicious blend of house, disco and pop electronic.
The evening will come to a crescendo with Disco Lines, who is riding high on success, with his single “No Broke Boys” hitting number one on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. The producer, who was born and raised in Boulder, also marked a milestone this year with his first headlining Red Rocks shows, which sold out.
“I’ve always been a huge fan of X Games, and Colorado is home,” says the producer. “Getting to headline in Aspen feels right. Between the X Games energy and the mountain backdrop, it’s going to be one of those weekends you don’t want to miss.”
Saturday, January 24, will see even more DJs, starting with two-time Olympic medalist skateboarder Sky Brown. The seventeen-year-old will be making her debut DJ performance at a free daytime show, followed by DJ and producer Kendoll. Girlfriends, a pop-punk duo, will wrap up the free performances for Saturday.
The weekend will wrap up with dance-music giant Alesso, who was the first international recording artist to have two consecutive number-one hits on Billboard Dance Radio.
“I’ve played some incredible stages around the world, but there’s something special about performing in the mountains at X Games,” Alesso says. “The combination of music and action sports creates a completely different energy. I can’t wait to be part of it.”
And then, of course, there are all the extreme sports stars from across the globe who will be showing off their skills on the mountain. In addition, Belly Up Aspen will be hosting X Games Music Week.
