Brian Griese during his Broncos tenure.

This weekend, the Denver Broncos take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who are in the desperately sad situation of believing that quarterback Brian Griese gives them the best chance to win. Broncos fans have been here before -- from 1999 to 2002 specifically (and painfully). Apparently, though, Denver boosters are trying to forget those dark days. I visited YouTube thinking I'd find a slew of clips featuring Griese gaffes while in a Broncos uniform, but I got only a single hit: a hilariously dreadful version of the old Baha Men hit "Who Let the Dogs Out?" called "Who Let the Broncos Out?" The song mentions Brian in a single line -- "Griese, Eddie Mac and Rod Smith, too" -- that basically equates him with "the Professor... and... Mary Ann" in the Gilligan's Island theme. And to add insult to injury, the only images of a quarterback show Jake Plummer, not him. Thanks but no thanks for the memories, Brian.
