Lakewood Police Department release:

SUSPICIOUS DEATH

At about 7:00 AM on February 28, 2011, Lakewood Police agents responded to the Rocky Mountain Motel, 6001 W. Colfax Ave., to conduct a welfare check. Upon arrival they discovered a dead female in one of the motel rooms. The female is between 20-30 years old.

The investigation is ongoing. A cause of death has not yet been determined, but police are treating the case as a possible homicide. Anyone with information relating to this case is urged to call the Lakewood Police Department at 303-987-7111.
