Light Up Your Trees Before Seeing Chris Gethard, a Highlight of the Cannabis Calendar

Denver's cannabis calendar is emptying out as the end of 2015 draws closer, but there are still plenty of good, ganja-oriented times — starting with Sexpot Comedy's annual holiday show. This year's rendition, "A Very Sexpot Chris-Mas," will be headlined by Chris Gethard, star of The Chris Gethard Show and a standout on Broad City, Inside Amy Schumer and The Other Guys.  "Just don't get too high before the show," Gethard told Westword in a recent sit-down interview. "Get to that happy middle ground where you can still laugh out loud, because it can be kind of terrifying as a performer when everyone's practically sedated,"  "I guess it's a little too easy to close on a weed joke in Denver at this point in history, huh?"

Not at all, Chris. Continue reading for more information on "A Very Sexpot Chris-Mas" and more weed events in this week's Cannabis Calendar.

Millennium Grown Broadcast Network
is hosting a cannabis industry meet and greet from 7 to 11 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, at Green Labs. The mixer is a spot where high-ranking pot people can rub shoulders and show off their latest ideas over food, wine and fine herb. Speakers include Representative Jonathan Singer and Mark Goldfogel of Fourth Corner Credit Union. Attendance is free, but guests must RSVP by e-mailing [email protected] with their names and company/organization information. 21+

Local artist Heidi Keyes will teach her 21+ Puff, Pass and Paint class from 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, at 2087 South Grant Street. All equipment is included in the $50 fee, and although cannabis consumption (bring your own) is encouraged, it's not required.

Terrapin Care Station on 33rd Avenue in Aurora offers free tours of its cultivation operation on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. Each four-person tour is first come, first served, and lasts about thirty minutes. After a short introductory video, guests will go on a walking tour through the growing facility, where they'll learn how Terrapin pot products are manufactured from seed to sale. For those of you hoping to take a selfie during the tour for your Instagram page, sorry — no photos allowed. Learn more at the Terrapin website. 21+
