Several hundred people -- a much bigger gathering than the previous night's -- met at Civic Center Park around 6 p.m. and then marched west through the streets of downtown, stopping several times to lie down in intersections in protest before eventually ending up in front of the Denver jail.

The march continued to the I-25 viaduct. Up until that point, police and protestors had interacted peacefully. Across the country, similar marches had made it onto highways and major intersections, with Ferguson supporters effectively shutting down freeways in Atlanta, Boston and Cincinnati as well as the John F. Kennedy Bridge in New York and the 101 in Los Angeles.
But not in Denver. Several arrests were made around 8 p.m. of people who were accused of obstructing the roadway. And while Denver police maintain that there was no tear gas deployed, protesters were reporting otherwise. While much of the group dispersed peacefully, varying accounts of what happened after appeared via the real-time posting on Twitter from both civilians and the Denver Police Department:
The Denver Police confirmed via twitter that four arrests in total were made. The remaining protestors eventually walked back from I-25 and into downtown, stopping at the intersection of Colfax and Broadway to lay in the street one last time. There is another tentative gathering planned for this evening in Civic Center Park.
