This year marks a decade since food hall Avanti F&B opened at 3200 Pecos Street in LoHi. As it celebrates that milestone, it's also ushering in some big changes.

Starting Monday, January 13, Avanti will close its first floor for a remodel that includes the addition of a new specialty coffee shop plus updated guest seating, modern lighting, new flooring and a state-of-the-art sound system. There will also be a commissary kitchen added, with more space for the hall's food concepts.

The revamped first floor is expected to debut in March. In the meantime, Avanti's second floor, which includes a bar and two food concepts, Ama Modern Mexican and Knockabout Burgers, will remain open Tuesday through Saturday.

Longtime staple Quiero Arepas will return when the first floor reopens, but other concepts are moving on — or saying goodbye for good, like 22 Provisions, which debuted in Avanti in 2023. While it will not return, it teased a new concept coming from co-owner Quincy Cherrett in an Instagram post announcing the closure.

Bowls by KO opened in Avanti in 2022; it also teased some news in its Instagram announcement: "But don’t worry! We have some big announcements to share with you so stay tuned…we’ll be back better than ever before you know it."

Gorlami brought pizza back to Avanti in 2021, but it will also be moving out because of the construction project; it has not posted any updates about its plans.

Another popular Avanti stall says it will continue in a new, yet-to-be-announced way. Pho King Rapidos got its start as a food truck and was our 2021 Best of Denver pick for Best Food Truck/Cart; it moved into Avanti in 2023. "We have plans in the works, this spring, with a new concept that we can’t wait to bring to you," it says in its own Instagram announcement. "As for Pho King Rapidos, we will be back! This is not the end."

Avanti says to expect details for the concepts replacing Pho King Rapidos, 22 Provisions and Gorlami to be announced in the coming months.

“The past ten years have been incredible, and we’re thrilled to give Avanti a fresh look for 2025,” Director of Operations Travis Christ says in announcing the news. “The new coffee shop will allow us to welcome guests from morning to night, making Avanti a true all-day destination. We’re also excited to enhance our facilities and introduce some fantastic new concepts this spring — our guests are always eager to try something new.”

Avanti F&B is located at 3200 Pecos Street; its upstairs vendors are open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday (bar hours vary). For more information, visit avantifandb.com or follow it @avantifandb on Instagram.
