Head to Ondo's Spanish Tapas Bar in Cherry Creek tonight to celebrate the last night of October flamenco month, with the Maria Vazquez Trio performing sets at 6:30 and 7:45 p.m., and $15 wine flights for three half-pours all evening.

Although Dia de los Muertos doesn't officially start until November 1, you can get in the spirit tonight at Comida Cantina in Longmont, where you can honor lost loved ones while enjoying family-inspired food and drinks.

The cantina will be decorated with Day of the Dead memorabilia, and chef Serena Romero has prepared a five-course meal inspired by her father. This heart-felt lineup will be paired with cocktails created by Comida's bar manager, Mike Casalino. The evening will begin with a cocktail reception at 6 p.m.; guests are encouraged to bring items to honor their deceased loved ones, which will be placed on a traditional ofredna (the alter that honors ancestors and the recently departed). Traditional items to bring range from sugar skulls to marigolds, or even a loved one's favorite food or drink.

The five-course dinner, including drink pairings, runs $65 per person (tax and gratuity not included); for reservations, call the restaurant at 720-204-6455.

And EDGE in the Four Seasons will be hosting a four-course dinner -- each course paired with various New Belgium Beers -- from 6 to 9 p.m. Paul Sullivan, a New Belgium Brewery ranger will be on hand to discuss the pairings; the menu includes poached pear salad, Prince Edward Island mussels, apple cider-glazed pork belly and coffee glazed "cro-dough" (EDGE's cross between a doughnut and a croissant). Tickets are $45 (plus tax and gratuity). See the full menu on the Edge website; call 303-389-3050 for reservatios.
