7 Brew, a coffee drive-thru chain that originated in 2017 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, just opened its fifth Colorado location: at 4789 Airport Way in Green Valley Ranch, its first in Denver. The company has seen rapid growth since its inception; today there are over 350 locations nationwide, including 31 in the works for Colorado.

7 Brew, named for its seven original coffee flavors, operates under the motto "Celebrate Kindness" and gives back to community organizations. For the Denver opening, it partnered with the Children's Miracle Network and presented $2,000 to the Children's Hospital of Colorado at the May 14 ribbon-cutting.

"Whenever you do a new stand, it's just kind of having that ability to get into your community and let them know we would love to be a part of the community," says Jeff Bentley, vice president of operations for owner ERC Brew. Costco shares a parking lot with this 7 Brew, and they're planning on collaborations through the year, he added

Similar to that of a Chick-fil-A ,7 Brew's drive-thru is double-laned, which allows staffers to serve customers more quickly and efficiently. But the goal is to maintain vibes similar to those you might find in a typical coffee shop.

"Everything we do here at 7 Brew is based on being able to have a mix of speed and quality while also offering a cultivating kindness atmosphere of having people enjoy fun conversation," says Bentley. "Everyone loves coffee, so it's fun to be able to come get a good drink, but also be able to have that person that you know to get your coffee from. You actually get to say hi to somebody, they ask how your day was. We take it to that next level, as opposed to just your traditional drive-through that is transactional. It makes it a little bit more of an exciting environment."

There's also a walk-up window, but no outdoor seating.

7 Brew's house blend is a mix of Brazilian, Colombian and Ethiopian beans. While many of its best-selling drinks are sugar-forward, like the Blondie that combines vanilla and caramel syrups — think Dutch Brothers — patrons can customize their level of sweetness or opt to omit it completely. The company works with vegan dairies, too.

7 Brew also makes its own signature energy drinks, lemonades, frozen drinks and smoothies, and the flavor combinations are endless — customers are encouraged to come up with their own or order off the secret menu. Bentley recommends the Brewberry or the Banana Bread Latte, but says he enjoys trying something new every day.

7 Brew is open daily from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Colorado locations include the new one at 4789 Airport Way in Denver, along with outposts in Aurora, Colorado Springs, Alamosa, Montrose and Firestone; find more information on 7brew.com.
