The EDM bug has only spread in the years since Cacciavillano first shared her underground obsession. Denver is now a home for ravers of all types and a coveted destination for many EDM artists. With a plethora of yearly festivals to attend and unforgettable nights at Red Rocks or Mission Ballroom, Denver brings together the love for lights, sounds and pyrotechnics that make EDM so special.
In addition to numerous festivals and shows, the local EDM scene comprises an animated and diverse collection of small venues and artists with a deep appreciation for their craft. On any given weekend, you can hear dubstep, electronic or house music in an intentionally curated space. With any luck, this list will lead you to your new favorite haunts for a night of dancing out on the town.
Beacon
2854 Larimer Street
Since 2021, Beacon has established itself as a haven for artists and night owls and a RiNo staple for EDM fanatics. Designed with connection in mind, Beacon calls to art lovers of every genre and provides an intimate experience with several immersive installations by local creators. With a stacked calendar of DJs, this space exists in a sweet spot between nightclub, bar and venue, perfect for a pre-game or after-party. Once you're there, you'll know why it won a Best of Denver award for Best Dance Club in 2023.
The Black Box
314 East 13th Avenue
Known for making EDM history, the Black Box is an obvious destination for ravers. With two separate sound systems to keep the main stage and lounge bumping, the sonic opportunities are vast. Tech nerds and artists can even look to the website for a detailed breakdown of all the equipment on deck. Weekly events such as Electronic Tuesdays and DJ battles provide an opportunity to experience the local scene in an intimate setting, while bigger headliners pass by on the weekends to check the venue off their bucket list. Those looking to tap into the more edgy and hyper-local scene will find their people at one of the many Black Box shows that go into the wee hours of the night.

The iconic Cervantes' Masterpiece Ballroom sign is a staple image of the Denver music scene.
Jack Gould
2635 Welton Street
Home to some of the noisiest nights in Five Points, the dual venue of Cervantes' — which includes the larger Masterpiece Ballroom as well as the more intimate Other Side — is equipped to bring you both touring and local EDM acts. While Cervantes' hosts many other genres, including some underground hip-hop, there are regular electronic nights, such as Shift on every third Thursday of the month. Keep an eye on the calendar to see what this venue has in store for 2025...if we're lucky, there will be another Daft Punk-themed evening of tunes.
Larimer Lounge
2721 Larimer Street
Although longtime Denverites may think of the Larimer Lounge as a rock destination, the tides have turned in favor of electronic and dance shows that make for many late nights over in RiNo. This intimate venue and bar is home to frequent EDM lineups and even threw a New Year's Eve Party with Sage Armstong's international clubbing sound. Free champagne toasts at midnight and sounds to rattle your skull under the low ceiling uphold the classic electronic-music spirit that so many adrenaline junkies hold dear.
The venue's newest seasonal addition, Ski House, located at the Tree House in the venue, is a testament to the Larimer's genre shift with a winter ski and EDM theme. Be sure to catch a free night of EDM in the Ski House during these long winter nights.
Mockingbird
2737 Larimer Street
With dance parties every Thursday through Saturday that run until 2 a.m., Mockingbird is an immersive-art club with a passion for anything upbeat from disco to house music. Brought to you by the owners of Beacon, this artist-built bar just opened last August, bringing an emphasis on Burner vibes and creativity into the Denver nightlife scene. In classic RiNo fashion, the space is a blend of art and classy, modern aesthetics made by people with a passion for dance music. Anyone looking to dance the night away will feel right at home here.
