When half-brothers Patrick Wilson and Nicholas Blake were looking for a concept for their new club, they found inspiration in Nickelback's "Rockstar" video. When we spoke with them back in November 2010 when the club first opened, the brothers told us they were opening the Rockstar Lounge with the idea that everyone essentially wants to be a rockstar.
Housed in the former DC10, Zen Ultra Lounge and Chique space, the club at 940 Lincoln Street was transformed into what Blake called "white-trash beautiful," replete with zebra prints, gold records and stripper poles. While the place initially started off as something of a country bar, it soon morphed into more of a dance club that brought in occasional live acts. After making headlines for a fatal hit-and-run incident in front of the club last year and less than a two year run, Rockstar has officially gone dark.
