Yesterday evening, the DPD offered a Twitter update.
UPDATE: Death in 2600 block of Java Court is now being investigated as a homicide. No additional info at this time. #Denver

Then, a short time ago, the department issued a formal press release of notable generality. The original call is pegged to 10:30 a.m. on the 4th, with officers having originally been dispatched on what's described as a "welfare check of an individual." We can't be sure if the person in question is male or female, given a subsequent reference to "a party." But we do know that the individual was dead and the case is now being investigated as a homicide.
