In 2022, Denver was in the midst of a French dining revolution, thanks to the addition of spots such as Chez Maggy, Le Bilboquet Denver, Brasserie Brixton and Noisette, which made a stunning debut at 3254 Navajo Street in LoHi that August.

But less than three years later, Noisette has announced that it is set to close on June 14. "Unfortunately, like many in our industry, we've faced ongoing challenges in the current economic climate that have made it unsustainable for us to continue," it shared in an Instagram post announcing the news.

The closure comes on the heels of the loss of another French eatery in the neighborhood: Jacques, which took over the former LoHi SteakBar space in September 2023 and shuttered last week.

Noisette's husband-and-wife owners, Tim and Lilian Lu, brought impressive culinary chops to the eatery, which serves an elevated take on cuisine bourgeoise, or French home cooking. Both graduated from the French Culinary Institute in New York, with Lilian leading the pastry program, which took center stage at the daytime bakery portion of the business.

The restaurant has gotten many accolades during its run, including landing on our Top 100 list and earning recommended status in Colorado's Michelin Guide in both 2023 and 2024. Late last year, the Lus added another component to the business, opening the bakery space as a wine bar in the evenings.

But despite the team's efforts and the successes that Noisette has had along the way, the meals we've enjoyed in the swanky spot will soon be just memories. "We hope you will join us one last time in the bakery or the dining room for a final farewell," the announcement post concludes.
