World Cafe comes to an end in Boulder

The space at 946 Pearl Street in Boulder has gone through many incarnations over the past few years: It was a wine-making operation, then a wine bar called The Blending Cellar, which was bought and reopened as Cuvee -- another wine bar that shuttered soon after. This June, the owner repurposed the spot as World Cafe, a gathering place that also focused on wine.

But the bottle there is now empty.

The eatery closed yesterday, and the staff was having a good time during a farewell party when we called -- with the person answering the phone saying simply that it was time to move on.
