Chocolate-and-beer Pairings from "chocolate therapist" Julie Pech will be offered at 6 p.m. tonight and 4 p.m. tomorrow, and at 1 p.m. tomorrow you can learn how to make chocolate from the bean with Kari Bell of Red Bird Chocolates. A chocolate-pudding eating contest for kids happens at noon tomorrow, and adults can participate in the Chocolate Crown competition at 3 p.m.
Live music, drinks (including chocolate martinis) and more than 75 vendors offering chocolate samples and Mother's Day gifts will be on hand at the Denver Merchandise Mart, 451 East 58th Avenue, from 4 to 9 p.m. today and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow. Admission is $5; kids under twelve get in free. Tickets for sampling are $10 for a dozen or $20 for 25, and they're available at the door or online at www.chocolate-festival.org.
