Reader support matters more than ever
We're in the final stretch of our summer campaign. Our goal is to raise $25,000 by August 9 to support the journalism our community relies on. Reader support is helping shape the future of local news.
Gretchen Kurtz loved almost everything about Solitaire when she reviewed the new restaurant in Highland, but some of our readers have taken issue with the service there, as well as the big price tags on small portions. In response to one such Solitaire comment, David says:
Yes, another example of tiny portions for full meal prices. Everyone loves getting screwed apparently because it’s definitely the trend – Lower48, Solitaire, Acorn – the list is endless where you can break the bank and leave hungry. But, it’s so chic, non? Let’s go stand in line!
Gretchen Kurtz has also given positive reviews to Acorn and Lower48 Kitchen, two of the best restaurants to open in 2013. But do you think their portion sizes are too small for the ultimate tab? What restaurants do you think provide plenty of (good) food for the price?
