Fire on the Mountain

Don’t let the laid-back vibe and Grateful Dead-style attitude at Fire on the Mountain fool you. This wings joint, which has three locations in Oregon and opened its Denver store in 2012, serves one of the hottest plates of wings in town: the El Jefe, which was featured on the Food Network. The Highland joint also serves grass fed beef burgers, sandwiches, salads, but it’s the wings -- made from hormone-free, antibiotic-free, cage-free Redbird farms chickens -- that take center stage. Try all twelve varieties or order the boneless kind for less mess. And if you don’t eat meat, they have Seitan wings as well.
