If you're curious about what the annual Global Dance Festival, now in its seventh year, is all about, but have always been afraid to ask, or to go and be surrounded by all those glowsticks and Vicks, you're in luck. Local Internet "lifestyle television" site Vista TV has gone behind the scenes at GDF and brought back an all-access tour of one of Colorado's biggest dance music events. The ten-minute video shows off some of the preparation that goes into the event, takes you into some of those areas at Red Rocks that only promoters, performers and maintenance men usually get to see, and delivers a few minutes of super-hot go-go dancer footage that's worth sitting through the video to see even if you have never heard of Global Dance Fest. The only bad thing about the video is it's not embeddable, so you'll have to leave the comfortable confines of Westword.com and go outside to Vista TV's GDF video page to watch it.

Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
