As it has for almost forty years, Forbes put out the 2025 Billionaires List this week, and a dozen of the richest Coloradans stayed within its ranks after making the list last year.
In all, this year's billionaire list includes more than 3,000 names worth more than $16.1 trillion, including President Donald Trump (with a $5 billion net worth) and Elon Musk at the top of the list with a $342 billion fortune.
Colorado's billionaires include twelve familiar names and faces, including CEOs, heirs and investors. Energy tycoon Philip Anschutz has seen his net worth skyrocket during the past few years, and it increased during the past year by nearly $2 billion. Anschutz, a Denver resident, according to Forbes, is the majority owner of the NHL's L.A. Kings and the team's home at Crypto.com Arena, which helps pad his position as the richest Coloradan. (Anschutz's entertainment group also owns the L.A. Galaxy of Major League Soccer.)
Some Colorado billionaires saw their net worth drop compared to last year, including mozzarella magnate James Leprino, who owns the world's largest maker of mozzarella cheese; he saw his fortune decline by about $200 million, per the Forbes list.
Even those losses might be small beans to these big businessmen, however. Take a look at Colorado's twelve billionaires on the Forbes list this year and their net worths below.
