Graffiti is so common in metropolitan areas that the crime seldom makes the news.
But what happened overnight in the Washington Virginia Vale neighborhood is the sort of exception that makes the rule.
An estimated 25-35 cars and buildings on or near the 700 block of South Hudson Street, not far from East Exposition Avenue, were vandalized with, among other things, racial slurs and an attack on presidential candidate Donald Trump.
As seen in twitpics shared by CBS4 correspondent Shawn Chitnis (who reported yesterday about the shooting of a convenience-store clerk from Westword's parking lot), the scrawls included random messages....
...religious symbols and references....
...random nonsense....

Also blotted out for television is something written about Trump — presumably a crime of opportunity given the presence of his name on a trailer in the area:
