The Tavern Hospitality Group, which owns the six Tavern locations, the Soiled Dove Underground and Cowboy Lounge, has expanded its empire to Littleton. Yesterday, the Tavern Littleton opened its doors at 2589 West Main Street.

This is a smaller version of the Tavern Downtown, which was named the best sports bar in America earlier this year.

"We were drawn to the area because of the quaint feel of West Main Street and the businesses and stores there," says Helen Wood, director of marketing for the Tavern Hospitality Group. "The characteristics of that community lend themselves to the idea of a unique neighborhood tavern."

The Littleton location has the same clean, modern, television-heavy decor that the other Tavern locations feature. The two-tiered patio with a fireplace and both indoor and outdoor seating should be a hit once the weather stops so closely resembling that of New Jersey.

This Tavern offers drink specials Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to close, as well as weekend brunch, trivia on Tuesday, and other specials and events. There's also a lunch-loyalty program that should be a hit with Littleton business owners.

"Each of our taverns take on the personality of the neighborhood in which it's located," says Wood. "The size is much more conducive to a smaller neighborhood." For more information, call 303-730-7772.
