The space once occupied by Office Depot at 600 East Colfax Avenue will be getting a makeover this summer. Hampton Partners, the investment firm responsible for Argonaut's facelift, is heading up a development there that will not only include a new Office Depot, but a third (and two-story) Billy's Gourmet Hot Dogs location.

"We love the neighborhood," says Billy's owner Bill Feid. "We're really excited to be a part of it."

The announcement comes just four months after Feid and his son opened a second location on South Broadway; the original spot at 2445 Larimer Street opened in 2010.

"It'll be pretty much like our other locations: same menu and a liquor license," he says. "And we'll serve our popular, housemade ice cream."

The second story of the new spot will have most of the seating, as well as "'beautiful views of the Cathedral and Capitol," Feid adds. The development is slated for completion in late fall of this year, and he expects to open his doors a few months after that. Check Billy's Facebook page for updates.
