At the end of January, Ballpark neighborhood watering hole DADA Art Bar went dark, and Iain Chisholm, chef/owner of Americatus just around the corner, told us that he had sold his share of the bar to his partners, who were expecting to reopen under new management. But the DADA space is still vacant and is now for lease through the Focus Property Group.

DADA originally opened two years ago as a craft cocktail bar and gallery space for local artists. The prime location at Larimer Street and Broadway shares the corner in the same building as Los Chingones, SugarmillBilly's Gourmet Hot Dogs and Americatus. Focus did not return our call requesting details, but interested parties can inquire at 303-296-7550, extension 19. With the bar and restaurant boom that has hit RiNo and Ballpark over the past two years, the address is ripe for the right concept.

Keep Westword Free... Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Denver with no paywalls.
