Denver International Airport continues to top lists of U.S. airports known for healthy eating and quality restaurants. The latest addition to a stable that already includes Elway's, Root Down, Etai's Bakery Cafe (formerly Udi's) and two New Belgium tap rooms (the Hub and the Spoke) shouldn't hurt the airport's reputation, either. Today Modmarket brought its menu of pizzas, salads and sandwiches to Concourse B; it's the ninth Colorado location for this homegrown chain.
A second airport Modmarket will be opening in Concourse C later this year. Both DIA branches of Modmarket will be operated by Tastes Denver LLC. "We are very proud to offer airport travelers a healthy, fresh and fast meal option that will keep them fueled throughout their journey," says Modmarket co-founder Anthony Pigliacampo.
Modmarket is also rolling out a few new winter dishes at all of its locations -- including two in Texas as well as the spot in DIA. Those dishes include coconut citrus soba noodles, a mushroom pear salad, wild mushroom pizza and two soups: tomato basil and cashew butternut.
