Coy and Rachael Webb opened Roaming Buffalo Bar-B-Que at 2387 South Downing Street in January 2015, and since then, they've made it a favorite among smokehouse aficionados and neighbors alike. Like the best smokehouses around the country, Roaming Buffalo often sells out well before the dinner hour. But since there's little room to expand in the tiny strip-mall space, the couple is diversifying while keeping the neighborhood stocked with good food. The Webbs will soon open City & Country Deli & Sausage Co. two doors down, at 2393 South Downing.
The signs on the new space just went up today, and Rachael Webb says they're working on the remodel and inspections, so they don't have an exact date for opening yet, though a late-spring debut is not out of the question. The eatery will feature housemade deli meats, sausages and sandwiches.
While the wait may be excruciating for fans of Roaming Buffalo's top-notch ’cue — which was good enough to win our award for best barbecue restaurant in this year's Best of Denver — you'll be able to sample some of the goods at the upcoming Bacon & Beer Classic, scheduled for Saturday, April 16.
