Kyle Kvasnicka, thirty, served four years as an assistant for the Concordia University Irvine volleyball squad before working his way up to head coach. In his second year at the helm, he was ready to put his own mark on the program. But now, the school has stripped him from its website in the wake of his arrest in Jefferson County for suspicion of luring a child via the Internet.

Kvasnicka lives in Laguna, California, but his computer connected him to Colorado, where the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office accuses him of getting sexually graphic in a chat room with what he thought to be a teenager. He's then said to have made plans to meet, in order to put those words into action.

Instead, on April 8, Kvasnicka found himself getting booked in the DA's office.

There's no hint of such nastiness in the bio pulled down by the school, which still lingers online in a Google cache format. It features a shot of a smiling Kvasnicka looking very different than in his booking photo, along with plenty of plaudits for his rise through the system:

Kyle Kvasnicka

Head Coach

After spending four years as Concordia Volleyball's top assistant, Kyle Kvasnicka begins his second year at the program's helm.

Kvasnicka was named the program's seventh head coach in the spring of 2009. He proceeded to coach his first squad to an NAIA National Championships Semifinals run, its fourth consecutive trip to the semifinals, including a runner-up finish in 2008.

Kvasnicka served under 2008 NAIA Coach of the Year Paula Weishoff-the winningest coach in school history-throughout his tenure as assistant coach, one of his two stints working under highly successful collegiate coaches.

As an undergraduate at University of Nebraska, Kvasnicka was an undergraduate volunteer assistant under head coach John Cook, who led his Cornhuskers to NCAA Div. I national titles in 2000 and 2006.

Kvasnicka, who has been involved with the U.S. Volleyball High Performance Programs during the past five seasons, he also serves in the capacities of U-17 head coach and assistant director at the Laguna Beach Volleyball Club.

In the summer of 2005, he was the head coach for the Southern California High Performance Regional Team that competed in its respective national tournament. He coached the U-15 and U-17 teams for Team Complete Athlete of Long Beach, guiding the U-15 squad to a fifth-place finish in the National Division of the Junior Olympics. The U-17 team placed 13th in the American Division.

Prior to his Southern California coaching experience, Kvasnicka coached the Challengers Volleyball Club from 2001 to 2004 in Nebraska, where he led its U-17 team to a No.1-ranking en route to an eventual second-place finish at the Junior Olympics.

In 2003, he led his U-16 team to a fifth-place finish at the Junior Olympics in the 16 Open Division. In 2002, his U-15 team qualified for the Junior Olympics in the Open Division, finishing in 21st place.

During his four years coaching the Challengers, Kvasnicka helped develop four Junior Olympic All-Americans and won the Great Plains Regional Championships each year. Kvasnicka had previously coached two additional teams in the Midwest.

Kvasnicka completed his bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of Nebraska in 2004. While pursuing his degree, he served as student manager for a team that went 34-0 and won the NCAA National Championship as only the second undefeated team in college volleyball history.

Kvasnicka also spent three years as a student coach at Norris High in Firth, Neb., helping guide the team to a conference championship in 1998 and a No. 5 ranking in the state. He also spent two seasons as assistant coach at Lincoln Southeast High School in Lincoln, Neb., helping the program to a third-place finish in the 2002 State tournament.

Kvasnicka is single and lives in Irvine.

Note that the U.S. Volleyball High Performance Programs reportedly brought Kvasnicka to Colorado Springs.

There's been no shortage of coaches busted for allegedly pervy behavior in these parts. Last year's mug shot roundup of the top six accused teachers and caretakers featured two: Travis Masse (a wrestling coach) and Alex Tinsley (he oversaw a karate club). And already this year, we've seen the arrest of Wes Specht, a basketball coach and semi-pro player known as "Wild Man," for having horizontal relations with a teen girl.

Of course, all of these suspects coached on the high school level. Kvasnicka's typically around slightly older women. But if the Jeffco authorities are right, his tastes are more varied, and infinitely creepier.

Here's a larger version of Kvasnicka's mug shot.
