And Dana Cain's Colorado Chocolate Fest -- with its eighty vendors, chocolate talks, demonstrations and contests -- is THE place in Denver to raise that particular brand of consciousness to the highest level. The fest kicks off with a wine-tasting and smooth sounds by the Perry Weissman 3 on Friday night; Saturday is a major pig out, with charming host Chris Parente on the main stage as master of ceremonies. There's a scavenger hunt for RiNo keepsakes and an overflow of downtown eateries new and old available when stomachs begin to grumble. Muertos in May 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 10 Bonacquisti Wine Company Folk art and local wines? It's Day of the Dead in May at the Bonacquisti Wine Company, where a group of regional artists will host a display of hand-made muertos and calaveras and other muertos-inspired works.
