After members of the Fountain Fire Department responded to a reported blaze in a suburban neighborhood early Wednesday morning, they found the body of a young woman inside. The victim has now been identified as Larissa Tiffany-Schiess, 27 -- and police who are investigating her death as a homicide believe the fire didn't kill her. The first tweet from the Fountain Fire Department about the conflagration, which was reported around 2:30 a.m. on February 4, gives no indication that the home would turn into a crime scene.

Soon thereafter, however, Tiffany-Schiess's body was discovered, and as KOAA-TV notes, the fire was quickly deemed suspicious.

Here's a KOAA image from the scene....

...and here is one shot.... ...and a second.... ...plus an image from later that morning.... ...from KKTV coverage.

The victim was subsequently identified as Tiffany-Schiess, whose Facebook page says she's a graduate of Ellicott High School and worked as a PDA Tech rep for T-Mobile. Her photo gallery includes a few images of her, including this one....

...but the majority of pics feature dogs (she was a member of numerous animal-related groups), as well as a shot of her baby sister.

At this writing, police are looking for an individual described only as a "person of interest" in the case. And the suspect may no longer be in the Fountain area. KRDO-TV reports that a search for Tiffany-Schiess's missing 2006 Suzuki ended when the vehicle was located in Pueblo. Meanwhile, the cause of Tiffany-Schiess's death has not yet been made public.

Our sincere condolences to Tiffany-Schiess's friends, family and loved ones.
