We don't usually associate online slide shows with police departments. But the PD in Boulder has posted the equivalent of one in relation to the recent arrest of sex offender Eugene Martinez, rounded up after he'd managed to escape from Denver police headquarters.

Boulder cops found lotsa items after taking Martinez into custody, including multiple pairs of underwear, electronic items and more -- and they're sharing pics of them due to their concern that there may be additional victims. Details and the photos below.

As we've reported, Martinez is a multiple offender. His convictions include five counts of sexual assault on a child and an attempted sexual assault on a child beef from 1994 and second degree assault circa 1996.

He was taken into custody again earlier this month -- and on October 9, he found himself cuffed to a bench in a room reserved for arrested sex offenders at the 13th and Cherokee police headquarters building in Denver, seen here:

But just after noon that day, he managed to get loose of his bonds and walk through at least two doors, not to mention a building full of police officers, in order to reach freedom.

He was on the loose for over a week when, on October 19, the BPD received a call from a 23-year-old woman who reported an incident on the 700 block of Marine Street in Boulder.

At about 3 a.m. that morning, the woman said she awakened to find a man digging through her purse. He then split with the purse, her wallet and her cell phone.

But that wasn't the worst of it. The BPD reports that another resident of the home, a 22-year-old woman, shared with police her belief that the man "may have sexually assaulted her and her 21-year-old female friend," who was sleeping in the same room. She added that they may have left the door unlocked.

An hour or so later, the cops managed to track the stolen cell phone to what's described as a homeless encampment near 14th and Grandview. There, they found Martinez, who was arrested a few blocks away following a brief foot chase.

Afterward, cops searched the camp and located what they describe as "a number of items which do not belong to the women who live on Marine Street." Their supposition: The belongings may have come into the possession of Martinez during additional burglaries or assaults whose victims have not yet come forward.

With that in mind, cops encourage those who recognize any of the items below to contact Detective Jeremy Frenzen at 303-441-1890 or Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or 1-800-444-3776. A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered in the case.
