A man was taken into custody shortly after a woman's body was found — and now, the Denver Police Department is identifying him as Jerimiah Halsey, 35.
Halsey has had numerous previous run-ins with the law, as you'll see.
In this instance, however, Halsey essentially blew the whistle on himself, by telling some Denver firefighters about someone he'd hurt.
The Facebook page for Halsey lists him as a graduate of Granbury High School in Granbury, Texas, and a resident of Westminster — though it's not been active of late. The most recent post dates back to 2013.
His profile pic is unfortunate under the circumstances. It's an image of the Grim Reaper.
Online mug-shot databases contain a number of listings for Halsey.
For instance, we found references to three arrests in Adams County.
One took place in December 2013, while another happened in June 2015.
And a March 12 listing includes a booking photo.
As for the most recent incident, the DPD reveals that on Sunday, February 21, Halsey flagged down a crew of Denver firefighters at a grocery store in Wheat Ridge.
He maintained that "he had hurt someone," the Denver Police Department release states.
The firefighters contacted the Wheat Ridge Police Department, and after WRPD officers chatted with Halsey, they reached out to the cops in Denver.
Shortly thereafter, officers went to the 3400 block of Park Avenue West, where they found the victim.
The woman will be identified by the Denver coroner's office following next-of-kin notification. Here's a larger look at Halsey's latest booking photo, followed by our earlier report.

But yesterday, RiNo's peaceful hustle and bustle was disrupted by a grisly turn of events.
Police discovered the body of a dead woman.
They subsequently launched a homicide investigation — and a suspect is currently in custody.
Here's the first tweet about the incident from the Denver Police Department.

At approximately 12:35 p.m. on Sunday, February 21, according to the DPD, officers were dispatched on what was initially termed a welfare check.
Upon their arrival at the residence in question, they learned that something was terribly wrong.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
And while the DPD has not yet shared additional details, a call went out for detectives.
Belong long, the department officially declared the case a homicide and took an adult male suspect into custody.
The victim will be identified by the Denver coroner's office pending next-of-kin notification. Neither her name nor that of the busted man have been released.
The DPD stresses that "this remains an active investigation."
