What's her Colorado connection?
As we noted in a February post, Wonnacott is a graduate of Chatfield High School and often returns to the area from Brigham Young University, where she and Fredette met. Example: Last year, my twin daughters attended a graduation party for a friend whose special surprise gift was the presence of Jimmer, who Wonnacott had brought along.
At the ESPYs, Wonnacott, a cheerleader and broadcast journalism major, turned up on screen every time the camera turned toward Fredette -- which was frequently. And when he was named Male College Athlete of the Year, over such competitors as Connecticut's Kemba Walker and Auburn Heisman trophy winner Cam Newton, Fredette thanked Wonnacott for helping him look good on the red carpet.
