A fire broke out overnight in an apartment above Roseberg's Bagels & Deli at 725 East 26th Avenue in Five Points. One person was found dead in the apartment, according to the Denver Fire Department, but the cause of death is not yet known.

Reports indicate that the fire broke out at about 2:30 a.m. and that damage to the building was extensive, including a hole burned through the ceiling of the deli. Rosenberg's is always closed on Mondays, and it is not known whether the shop will be able to reopen tomorrow.

Update, 1:15 p.m., Monday, May 2: Rosenberg's does not expect to open this week due to water damage and loss of electricity during the fire.
