Hey, Denver drag fans! Are you ready for your close-up? Do you want to be part of a locally shot music video for one of your favorite, world-renowned drag personalities? Then mark your calendars for Wednesday, February 10, at Tracks Denver.
The video shoot is looking for 100 “sexy” people who are willing to show up dressed to impress in “cocktail attire” and also up for “removing clothing and oiling up” à la Britney’s "Slave 4 U" music video. The shoot has two scenes and times: 7 p.m. for the first, and 10 p.m. for the second, a dance scene.
The “prominent drag personality” who’s starring in this video hasn’t been announced, but the shoot is being done by Denver’s Geek Mythology Productions, which burst onto the scene with fun music videos for RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Sharon Needles, Alaska Thunderfuck, Adore Delano and Miss Fame, so it’s guaranteed to be a fierce, fabulous time!
If being part of a cocktail party that suddenly gets scandalous and interrupted by a queen sounds perfect for you, shoot an e-mail to [email protected] to secure a spot — and then get that face and body snatched for the gods, hunty.
KEEP WESTWORD FREE...
Since we started Westword, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Denver, and we'd like to keep it that way. You can help by participating in our "I Support" program, allowing us to keep offering readers access to our incisive coverage of local news, food and culture with no paywalls.
Keith Garcia is a filmmaker, writer and secret agent looking for love and the perfect slice of pizza. If he looks familiar, it's probably because he introduced a film you watched in Denver sometime between 1996 and 2014.
