Cured, which won our Best New Cheese Shop award in 2012, offers a hand-picked selection of cheeses, cured meats, table wines, fresh made daily sandwiches and other unique and gourmet grocery items that food nerds can splurge on with impunity. Owners Will and Coral Frischkorn, a cyclist and yoga instructor, respectively, caught the foodie bug and decided to create a shop in Boulder with the feel of a European market. The Frischkorns combined the long-lost marketing style of making daily trips to butchers, bakers, cheesemongers and vegetable stands with the modern convenience of one-stop shopping, providing customers with a selection of seasonal and quality ingredients to make simple, elegant meals. At Cured, that means cured meats like imported prosciutto di Parma and jamon Iberico, artisanal American cheeses and local Colorado beers and spirits.
