In 2012, Bleacher Report called him UW's "flagship recruit," adding that this "strong QB hopeful...has a lot of Husky fans excited about the upcoming seasons...and beyond."
The 2014 campaign looked to be Miles's breakout year. But now, his suspension, and a police investigation into his activities on Super Bowl Sunday, puts this prospect at risk.
According to a police report obtained by Seattle's KIRO-TV, a man told police that a white car pulled up behind him as he walked along NE 55th Street after the Seahawks put the finishing touches on Denver. Two men then hopped out, with one of them asking if he was a Seattle fan -- and after he answered in the affirmative, they are said to have punched him multiple times in the eye, chin and cheek before splitting.
The man apparently suspected his assaulters to have been UW football players, because he subsequently consulted an online team roster to see if he recognized anyone. He picked out wide receiver Damore'ea Stringfellow as the person who'd first quizzed him, and ID'd the other person as Miles.
By the way, Stringellow's Yahoo! recruiting profile lists his home as Moreno Valley, California.Afterward, cops say the two men -- one of them wearing a Broncos hat -- got into a physical altercation with celebrants at an on-campus bonfire and supposedly tried to break the camera of a student who may have gotten photos of them in action.
At this point, neither Miles nor Stringfellow has been arrested or formally charged, and their suspensions don't make specific reference to these incidents. Instead, they're officially on the outs for violating team rules.
