Original post, 9:57 a.m. November 30: In September, D'Andre Mayfield posted the photo above — a shot from a somber grave-site visit.
Mere months later, Mayfield lost his life under violent circumstances — and services in his memory are scheduled to take place this week.
Mayfield was shot and killed on November 23.
Kenneth Banks, twenty, is wanted in connection with the slaying — and the Denver Police Department warns that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
The first official word of the incident came via this Denver Police Department tweet, sent out just shy of 6 a.m. on Monday, November 23.

— Denver Police Dept. (@DenverPolice) November 23, 2015Upon their arrival, the cops found a man later identified as Mayfield inside a vehicle.
He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Denver coroner's office subsequently confirmed the cause of death as a gunshot wound.
In the wake of the shooting, Mayfield's friends responded with grief on a series of Facebook pages.

The Denver Police Department has ID'd Banks as a suspect in Mayfield's slaying.
And the DPD is asking for the public's help in tracking down the six-feet-tall, 185 pound man.
