Reports about domestic-violence arrests involving football players typically position the male as the abuser.

But not in the case of Cody Latimer, a wide receiver for the Denver Broncos.

Yes, he was cited — but the charge involved a failure to appear in court regarding a year-old traffic ticket.

However, his significant other and mother of his child — Jaimee Rando — was reportedly busted for assault and disturbing the peace.

And her victim is said to have been Latimer.

The Latimer-Rando page on FabWags.com, a site devoted to "the hottest wives and girlfriends in sports," begins like so:
Jamiee Nicole Rando is the girlfriend and baby-mama of Cody Latimer, the young NFL player who is currently a wide receiver with the Denver Broncos. Cody and Jamiee Rando have one son together. Want to hear more?

Jamiee Nicole Rando’s stud Cody was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 10, 1992. He attended Jefferson Township High School, in 2011 he enrolled at Indiana University where he continued top play football, he entered the NFL Draft during his junior year. Latimer was selected with the 56th overall in the 2nd round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos.
The site goes on to note that Rando graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2014 with a degree in hospitality, tourism and events — and last December, she gave birth to the couple's first child, a son.

Prior to the blessed event, Rando documented her pregnancy in Twitpics like this one:

She's also shared plenty of Latimer photos, including this shot of him on the way to this year's Super Bowl:

Her most recent tweet involved a Memorial Day weekend party at which Latimer was scheduled to deejay:

But we're guessing the couple's trouble with the law is something they'd both prefer to forget.

According to 9News, the Arapahoe County Sheriff's Office was called to the pair's residence at around 2:40 p.m. on Monday, May 30, after Latimer reported that his girlfriend had "put her hands on him."

Rando was promptly booked on suspicion of assault and disturbing the peace.

But Latimer was also taken away, because of an active warrant in his name. In March 2015, he got a ticket for improper lighting on his vehicle/trailer, then skipped a court appearance slated for the following month. Hence the warrant, which he handled yesterday by paying a fine of just over $311.

On his own Twitter account, Latimer explained the situation like so:

As you can see, there's no mention of Rando or the possible charges facing her.
