The restaurant posted this note on its Facebook page:
It's been 12 days since we were open last. If you weren't aware we had a small kitchen fire. I am very happy to say we will be open for service tomorrow!! A huge thanks to everyone that helped!! We will also be launching our Spring/Summer menu!!
New menu items include beef tartare with a confit egg and yuca chips; grilled baby octopus with charred chayote and king trumpet mushrooms; a 22-ounce bone-in ribeye with aji butter; and a sope topped with pork belly and pineapple.
Leña was opened in August 2014 by restaurateur Jimmy Callahan, who also runs Prohibition at East Colfax Avenue and Pennsylvania Street. Coincidentally, School House Kitchen & Libations reopened yesterday, too, after an electrical fire closed the Arvada eatery for nearly two months.
