I found out about this promo from a guy who knows a guy, who knows a thing or two about a thing or two -- and thought you all might want a little of the action. The deal is 80 percent off of already discounted gift certificates, but how long this deal lasts, I have no idea. So get cracking.

Here's how it works: On the site www.restaurant.com, you can buy gift certificates to muy bueno eateries such as Mezcal, Tambien, Lime and Limon. If Italian cuisine is more your style, you can pick up grosso discounts at Pasquini's, Sketch and Trattoria Stella. In fact, there are almost a hundred different restaurants in my 80203 zip code participating.

Find the one you want, note the stipulations (often the deal for $25 is that you have to spend a minimum of $35; most times, but not always, alcohol is not included), pick the denomination, add to your cart, and enter "napkin" as the promotional code. The 80 percent should slice right off. So, for example, I just bought a $25 gift certificate that would normally cost $10 on this site -- but with the special "napkin" deal, it was only two bucks.

And the deal's still going. So what are you waiting for?

Even without the 80 percent discount, these coupons are still a bargain -- I used a couple last week without any problems.
