With so many new eateries in town, Denver restaurants are in a culinary war — to outdo one another in daily specials. Some of our favorite Mile High City restaurants are offering some cool food and drink options that come around once a week only.  If you’re feeling adventurous, here are a few Denver daily food and drink specials to keep you on your toes every day of the week.

Monday

Vesta Dipping Grill
1822 Blake Street
Sauce on sauce on sauce. Take your sweetie out on Monday with date night at the Vesta Dipping grill in LoDo, where dinner for two is a throwback price of  $52.80.

Le Central
112 East Eighth Avenue
C'est un bon marché, the Lobster prix fixe menu at Le Central, three-course dinner with choice of lobster preparation comes in at $29.95 per person. Le Central offers this special both Monday and Tuesday to add some decadent, buttery love to the start of the week.

Tuesday

Americatus
2449 Larimer Street
Cheap Date Night at this favorite Italian spot in River North is a steal, especially for a deal that isn’t tacos on a Tuesday. Enjoy one bottle of house wine, two entrees, and dessert for $60. Reservations recommended.

The District
1320 East 17th Avenue
Winos rejoice! One of the most popular Uptown restaurants has wonderful drink specials on Tuesdays, including $10 bottomless sangria from 3 to 6 p.m., plus half off all bottles of wine all night.

Wednesday

Colt & Gray
1553 Platte Street
Colt & Gray is a Platte Street gem, and they are hooking up the booze specials for Hump Day. Join them for Wine Down Wednesdays, taking 30% off all bottles of wine.

Biker Jim's Gourmet Dogs
The cart at 1601 Arapahoe Street
WTF Wednesday means Biker Jim's cart on 16th Street will be serving up specials like a mac and cheese dog or Guinness beer brats. Owner Jim Pittenger features an ever-changing menu of bizarre and delicious meats, so show up hungry and ready for a surprise.

Thursday

Ignite Burgers & Lounge
2124 Larimer Street
Ignite is a fun, family-friendly burger spot in LoDo shining a light on local breweries for its Thursday special. Enjoy $3 Colorado bottled beers all day.

LoHi Steak Bar
3200 Tejon Street
The newly reinvented LoHi steakbar has a cool list of weekly specials, including our favorite, the Thursday-night, twelve-ounce prime rib served au jus with crispy frites and horseradish for $19. It's a juicy, affordable prime rib meal that won't break the bank.

Friday

Pub on Penn
1278 Pennsylvania Avenue
A good place to unwind with a few drinks on a Friday, the Pub on Penn draws a regular crowd that packs the house, featuring 2-for-1 specials from 7 p.m. to midnight.

Work & Class
2500 Larimer Street
This Larimer Street eatery;s "early work release program" is one of our favorite happy hours, making Work & Class one of the best places for Friday afternoon club. Basically, if you get here right when the doors open at 4 p.m., you won’t have to wait for a table or spot at the bar. But no promises, after all, the restaurant is build inside a shipping container.

Saturday

Tamayo
1400 Larimer Street
On the first Saturday of every month, Tamayo serves free guacamole for anyone participating in Bike to Brunch. Yes that means you actually have to ride your bike to brunch — which at least means burning off those guac calories and then some.

Sloan’s Bar & Grill
5850 West 25th Avenue
For another awesome steak dinner in Denver, go to Sloan's and enjoy a ten-ounce prime rib served au jus with horseradish, a jumbo baked potato and a salad for $20, plus $1 off all desserts.

Kobe An Shabu Shabu
3400 Osage Street
Our favorite shabu shabu spot in LoHi has a killer deal for the weekend during the daytime: all you can eat shabu shabu (the swish-swish Japanese beef soup) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. This is the most practical way to enjoy shabu, as it can otherwise be an expensive meal — and one best fasted for in advance.

Sunday

Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
2907 Huron Street
Come in your pajamas on the first Sunday of each month to get ten percent off your food as well as a free Bloody Mary, mimosa or glass of beer.

Lala's Wine Bar & Pizzeria
410 Eat Seventh Avenue
Sunday Supper at Lala's can't be beat. Every Sunday starting at 3 p.m., the Italian eatery serves a  four-course dinner family style until you’re full for $12.95 per person.

Osterio Marco
1453 Larimer Street
This Larimer Square Italian favorite hosts a pig dinner every Sunday night, featuring a weekly creative cochon dish: roasted pork, shredded or sometimes sweet, made with an ever-changing preparation depending on the chef's whim. Last week, it was served over corn risotto and topped with an apple slaw, as example of what you can expect.
