Gals, if you've ever skied or boarded past a terrain park and seen people throwing down jumps and tricks on the rails and wondered if you could do it too, Echo Mountain has a solution. This Thursday, March 4, is the second Echo Her Day. The event runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., and features instruction from the female members of Team Echo and 720 Boardshop, who co-sponsors the event.
As part of the evening, dinner is served. Rental equipment will be available, and after a night of shredding the rails and learning how to better do jumps, there are drinks and socializing. Registration starts at around 5:00 p.m., and participants head out onto the slopes for riding and instruction at around 6 p.m. Dinner is served from 7-7:30, and after dinner, there is more riding and instruction.
As part of the event, one terrain park feature will be selected for a spotlight. A PA and music system is set up adjacent to the feature, and an emcee
will call out during the session.
Her Day is part of Echo's Night Rider Series. The best part of the event is the price: FREE! You do, of course, have to buy a lift ticket. Echo has two options available: a 3 p.m.-on lift ticket for $28 and a special Her Day ticket good from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for $20.
Her Day is open to both skiers and snowboarders, and takes place every first Thursday. The next one after this Thursday's is April 1.
