We know you're planning to get your Irish on later tonight, but if you want to get your St. Paddy's party started early, a stop by Lovely Confections Bakery (1489 Steele St.) will do you good. The cupcake shop is offering two holiday specialty flavors: Irish Car Bomb (Guinness cupcake with a milk chocolate Bailey's frosting) and Nutty Irishman (hazelnut cupcake topped with vanilla buttercream and a drizzle of Irish whiskey ganache).

To sweeten the deal, you could get one or both of these bad boys for free today.

It's the luck of the Irish: Find a shamrock hidden on the bottom of your cupcake and it's yours for free. Not one for gambling? Show up wearing a little celebratory green and you'll automatically get a free mini cupcake with your fullsized purchase. The big cupcakes are $3 each, which is a steal when you're getting two.

And in case you're actively avoiding that stretch of Colfax near the Irish Snug today, no worries: Lovely Confections will be offering the flavors through the weekend, so you'll have extra time to kick back with this sweet treat.
