Endless Christmas cookies and cocktails may have filled you to the brim, but there are plenty of activities this weekend that should help you reset your culinary clock for the upcoming New Year's Eve activities.

Caffe Sole in Boulder is diverting from its jazz-centered entertainmnt tonight and hosting The Mighty Twisters, which has been described as a cross between the Grateful Dead and Bob Marley. The group hasn't played since the '80s, but it's ack in business for this show from 7 to 10 p.m., for a $5 cover charge. A happy hour before the show will feature $4 wine specials and beers; there will also be a $26, prix fixe dinner available until 9 p.m. After that, you can order from the tapas menu.

Show raw courage at Sushi 101, a class that will teach you all the basics starting at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Stir Cooking School, 3215 Zuni Street. Tuition is $80; sign up at stirtolearn.com or call 720-287-4823.

Participate in Denver's only gangster/flapper mystery show, Murder at the Speakeasy, at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Adams Mystery Playhouse. The show takes place in "Big Al's" Speakeasy & Cabaret, where guests can enjoy drinks from Denver's only casket bar while they solve a mystery. A buffet dinner from Bella Basil is included in the $42-46 ticket; make reservations by calling 303-455-1848.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 28 Tour the Mile High Winery at 1:30 p.m. with owner and vintner Jon Brickner, and learn about the science behind the creation of its various red wines. After the tour, taste the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah -- there will be bottles for purchasel. The tour is $15; reserve a spot by calling 303-296-9463.

Be treated like part of the royal family at the Cherokee Ranch and Castle, which will be offering a tour and seasonal tea tasting from 2 to 4 p.m. today.Tickets are $42; call 303-688-4600.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 29 Little Europe Restaurant will host a traditional Russian party to help bring in the New Year, tailored especially for kids. The lineup includes holiday songs, a Russian buffet, even a Russian Santa Claus. Admission is $20 per person.
