Last March, chef/restaurateur Kevin Taylor announced that in September 2009, he would be opening Kevin Taylor Steak in the aloft Hotel at Arista in Broomfield. It would be his seventh restaurant (if you count the one in Central City's Teller House, which is only open in the summer), one that would "complement the impressive development by offering high quality food, prime steak, an impressive wine list and great service with personality," said Taylor, who's an old hand with hotel restaurants, since he has Restaurant Kevin Taylor and Prima Ristorante in the Hotel Teatro.

But while Taylor managed to launch his Kevin Taylor Catering -- a partnership with the Denver Art Museum, where he has Palettes -- on October 1, Kevin Taylor Steak is on the back burner, with an opening date pushed back until next May.
