The doors are shut at Pour House, a bar that's been a gathering place for Boston sports fans since it opened in 2021 at 1410 Market, across the street from its former home, Pour House Pub, which occupied the space where Nola Jane is now. "Thank you all for almost four years of great times," reads a sign on the front door.
Another sign posted by Mario's Speakeasy Pizza, which had been operating out of the Pour House space, promises that concept will "reopen soon" and that "bigger and better things are coming! Get Excited!"
Lava, a duel-concept restaurant that debuted in January in the former iFish+Ramen space farther up Market, has also shuttered.
Fox Run Cafe served its last brunch on Sunday, October 21, after owner Lucien Reichert decided not to renew its lease so that he could turn his attention to ventures outside of the restaurant scene.
Provolino, the Italian eatery that took over the former Piccolo's space in south Denver, announced the end of its run after less than a year in business.
The oldest restaurant to say goodbye this week is Monaco Inn, a Greek eatery that's been serving since 1986. Its last day is October 26, and the space is set to become the second location of Pomodoro Pizza and Pasta, which also has an outpost in Aurora.
Making a comeback this week is Ophelia's, which reopens under new ownership on October 25 with a Flobots performance. The restaurant/music venue was originally opened in 2015 by the Edible Beats group and was sold in August to Eric Pirritt, the founder of ENDIT Presents and former president of Live Nation's Colorado branch.
New additions this week include the second metro area location of Texas-born, Detroit-style pizza chain Via 313 in Littleton; Orion Hot Pot, which took over the former Ming's Asian Fusion space in Arvada; and the brick-and-mortar location of Chivis Tacos, which also operates two food trucks.
